Fish and chips were very good. Only 4 stars due to dirty tables and lack of cutlery when eating in.

Im not a fan of chip's from a fish and chips shop because normally greasy, Mr Chip's was excellent tasty and not greasy, pie was properly cooked and sausages amazing, no grease in my box meal after. This is our second visit here and we travel 20mins each time to come. Well worth the visit.

Holy smokes.. been to a fare fue fish and chips shop's in my life but tonight this place was absolutely amazing. Congratulations to all involved in making this one of the best in the country. Well worth a change to check whats about. Fish was amazing no residue oil. Fantastic

Chips fairly good, slightly undercooked for my liking. Fish was excellent with nice batter. Slightly impatient service but friendly. Return customer for sure.

Been coming here for many years now, still the best takeaway around. Our kids have grown up visiting Mr Chips whilst on holiday, and now they have their own kids they’ll be visiting too!

Plenty of parking at mr chips, wheelchair friendly access and eating area inside and out. A small shop and very clean, and not cluttered. I was suprised to be told when i went up to order my cod, chips and fishcake. That they only accept cash, no card payments. I don't really know any shops now days that still do this?. The food is cooked to order. Depending on how busy the shop is, my food took about 10 minutes for it to be ready. So not bad. But at that time it was quiet. I was the only one there. The order was put in a paper bag. The food was well warped and very hot even after 20 minutes. I hope the picture does it justice. Because it was very nice, the batter on the fish was light and crisp. The fish was well cooked, the chips were crispy on the out side and fluffy inside. The fish cake for me was ever so slightly over cooked but im picky. Over all very lovely food and great service. The workers are very polite and helpful. The price is spot on, the quality of the food is good. My only criticism is the fishcake was slightly over done and that i was very lucky that day i had cash in my wallet. It's time to have a card payment device. Every shop has one. Everybody pays with card. Its quicker and easier. If i didn't have cash, they would of lost a customer. I wonder how many mr chips has lost this way? Yes i would recommend mr chips.

Had a little wait for the food but it's was fresh and tasted good. Good choice of food. We did the meal deals and where impressed with size of the portions. The batter was one of the best I've had anywhere.Only complaint was small bottles of pop where £2.50. Very clean venue.
